You can only ever be as brave as the challanges you take on and only as resilient as those you overcome, in which case @fingal_ravens_gfc Minors are very good indeed. The Ravens faced @stpatsdonabate earlier in the year and lost 3-14 to 1-8 (St Pats went on to win the D3 league with no losses), so this Championship Final was always going to be tough. But the Ravens have worked hard over the season and have been coached to play to their strengths, becoming more confident as a team as the year progressed. There's no harder challenge to face in a final than the league champions. Each of these lads stood tall, and then pushed on to play the match of their lives. Congratulations to our winning Minor team who emerged victorious from a fascinating rally with St Patrick’s Donabate in their Championship Final today. Minor C Football Championship Final ⚫️ FingalRavens 1-11 ⚫️ St Patricks. 0-13 There was nothing minor about our U18 lads today who proved themselves both unstoppable & dynamic. A nip & tuck game from the start with neither team able to pull away by any more than 2 points before being reigned back in by their opponents. Resilient to the end our boys never gave up & it earned their hard fought 1 point victory. It could have gone either way & @stpatsdonabate deserve our appreciation for what the Dublin County Board representative Dermot Sheridan described as a “tremendous game of football” ! What a way to spend a beautiful Autumnal morning 🤩🏆 Great building work has gone into this team & their management deserve our appreciation 👏🏼👏🏼 for todays’ united & confident display! - Match Report Louise Quinlan
