IMPORTANT MESSAGE - Return to Training Update

**IMPORTANT MESSAGE from our General Manager

A Chairde

I hope you and yours are keeping well during these strange times

As you may be all aware that we will be returning to football very shortly!! 😀

We have posted a number of updates on our social media and our website, but I wanted to give you a brief summary as to our current position as a club.

Our COVID task team have been very busy preparing the club grounds to facilitate our safe return to football. Although our senior teams will return on the 24th, most teams will not be returning until week commencing the 29th June onwards and as soon as we have finalised our plans the coaches will be communicating directly with players & parents/guardians with updates. It essential that all players/parents/guardians/members/coaches follow the strict guidelines as failure to do so will result in players/teams not being able to resume activities at the club.

Whilst some of the information in the e-learning module has changed the majority of the online course is valid especially around protocols for a safe return to football so please as per previous posts make sure that that you completed this online course (20 minutes) https://courses.gaa.ie/Covid19ClubEd/ - / along with the Healthcare questionnaire before returning to training.

Any player/parent/ guardian who can’t supply the required information as requested by the COVID officers will unfortunately lead to a player not being able to return to football. If you have any personal concerns about returning to the club or in relation to any of the above, please contact your team manager or a member of the club executive in confidence to discuss or help.

Each team will also require 2 Covid officers on a rotation basis for the foreseeable future ( but this may change long term) The online module details what is involved here, and we hope to give further clarification on what we will doing as a club early this week. As it stands today if any team does not have the required Covid supervisors assigned to the team the team will not be able to train. Can you please contact the coaches within the club if you can volunteer for this position. Training and PPE will be supplied.

As you may have noticed things are moving very fast around the lifting of restrictions around COVID -19 with timelines and procedures being updated every few days by the GAA and our Government. We will keep you posted as we have further information so please monitor our social media channels and website.

I look forward to welcoming you all back to the club and no doubt the players are eager to meet back up with their friends and get playing football!

Is mise le meas

Glin Donnelly

General Manager
