Congratulations to club members PJ & Sonia Casey on winning the @boylesports Irish Grand National Chase yesterday at Fairyhouse racecourse with their horse Lord Lariat.
The Casey clann are the roots of FingalRavens. Born & reared only metres from Ravens ground, PJ, a talented footballer, recently returned to play for Ravens 2nd team, managed by his brother in law Joey.
PJ & Sonia’s children & their cousins play with Ravens. PJ’s sister Emma plays with our Ladies team, coaches U8/9’s as well as the G4MO team. PJ & Emma’s Dad, Patrick, an ex-Ravens player has coached teams for decades.
GAA is a true family affair for the Casey’s & we are all indebted to their willingness to share their wealth of experience, skills & encouragement with us all. Fingal Ravens are thrilled to be associated with @p_s_horses the generous sponsors of our Division 6 team jerseys.
What an amazing 40/1 training achievement by @dermotmcloughlinracing to win the Irish National two years running & guided home by local jockey @pj_hanlon We wish all the connections great enjoyment of this momentous occasion & continued success on the track, on the pitch & in the show ring!
