*Club Notice*
Hi All
I hope that you and your families are all ok during these very strange and difficult times.
Following on from further GAA communications and government instructions we will be keeping the club grounds fully closed until further notice. In ensuring we keep to these new directives and in the interest of security and protecting our facilities (which are more vulnerable due to our absence ) we have fitted new locks during our temporary closure. These have been placed on the front gate, clubhouse and Astro. I have put up notices on the front gate with emergency contact details along with a closed notice. Keys for these new locks are held with myself, Alan Manning & John McCarthy. We will be maintaining the pitches and grass areas during this time as per GAA approval.
Our scheduled works for the new pitch lighting and the sanding of the main pitch were due to commence on the 30th March but unfortunately have now been paused until the contractors are permitted to commence works.
We will be conducting these works ASAP and hopefully will be back to normality shortly afterwards and can finally play some football!
It is going to be a very strange year for the game and we will just have to see what lies ahead!
I would also ask that if possible that we follow up on any outstanding actions were possible during this period, Garda Vetting, online courses , team training preparations etc so they we are ready to hit the ground running on our return. There have been some great sessions posted online that perhaps you can incorporate with your teams when we get back training. We have reposted many of these on Facebook and will also include on the website.
I would also like to remind you that if any of you, your family members or players are finding this unprecedented time in our lives stressful or getting you down please reach out ( in strictest confidence) to the members of our Health and Welbeing committee who would be delighted to assist.
We will also be updating contact details on our usual platforms for our volunteers to assist with the more vulnerable in our community so please spread the word!
